• PROTECTION TYPE
  Protects ferrous and some nonferrous metals including iron, steel, aluminum, zinc and solder. Not recommended for copper.

  If properly applied, Axxanol™ 33CD will protect metals for up to 6 months under shelter.
  
• DISPOSAL
  Treat as petroleum waste. Dispose of absorbed material at an approved disposal facility. Always consult federal, state and local regulations.

  Shelf life of 2 years if stored in original container, at 85º F or less and out of direct sunlight. If stored over 1 year, agitate prior to use.

ZERUST® Axxanol™ 33CD is an easy-to-use, solvent-based corrosion preventive coating that dries to the touch, eliminating sticky and oily surfaces that can pick up dirt and contaminants. Axxanol™ 33CD provides powerful corrosion protection against aggressive environments (salt air, high temperatures, etc.) for ferrous and some non-ferrous metals including iron, steel, aluminum, zinc and solder for up to six months under shelter.

Use ZERUST® Axxanol™ 33CD to protect metal parts and cast & machined metals during shipment, storage and work-in-progress. ZERUST® Axxanol™ 33CD is perfect for protecting parts during program changeover periods in the assembly process. And, its thin coating does not interfere with torque or pull-out requirements of parts. Use in conjunction with ZERUST® Ferrous Film for a more robust solution that protects for up to fi ve years (allow parts to dry prior to packaging).

APPLICATION EXAMPLES

ZERUST® AXXANOL™ 33CD PROTECTING EXHAUST MANIFOLDS FROM CORROSION DURING OCEAN SHIPMENT FROM CHINA TO THE USA (SHOWN IN A DUAL PROTECTION SYSTEM WITH ZERUST® FERROUS FILM).
WATER PUMP HUBS DIPPED IN ZERUST® AXXANOL™ 33CD FOR CORROSION PROTECTION PRIOR TO OCEAN SHIPMENT FROM CHINA TO GERMANY.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

1. Make sure parts are clean and dry.
   
2. Wear gloves when handling parts to avoid corrosion causing fingerprints.
   
3. Apply in a well ventilated area that is away from sources of heat or ignition.
   
4. Spray, slush, brush or dip metal parts with Axxanol™ 33CD. Use NIOSH approved mist or air supplied respirator when material is sprayed.
   
5. Parts must be dry prior to packaging. Drying time is approximately 5 minutes; use a fan to reduce drying time.
   
6. Package parts using ZERUST® materials for added corrosion protection.
   
7. Ship or store parts in protected storage (protects up to six months under shelter).
   

REMOVAL:

ZERUST® Axxanol™ 33CD can be easily removed by using any commercially available alkaline cleaner. Always check with your customer to see if removal of Axxanol™ 33CD is required prior to the use of the protected parts.
